Gay/Straight: “What difference, at this point, does it make?"
So: we get an official Presidential statement on Jason Collins’ sexual orientation immediately, butt we’re still waiting on the updated Presidential explanation of what happened in Benghazi.
Technically, I guess, we’ve had explanations. Butt explanation #1 didn’t fly, and now it’s beginning to look like explanation #2 is getting a little wobbly, too. At least that’s the buzz we’re hearing from a growing group of here-to-for “silent whistleblowers” (oxymoron alert).
Boy, this whole non-Islamic terrorism meme is getting harder and harder to keep straight isn’t it? Sort of like that bright red line in Syria - it turns out that many things are not as straight as you thought.

Bill? GLAAD Advocate for Change?
Bill? GLAAD Advocate for Change? I refer you to that titan of the Democrat party, John Edwards. As he famously said, there are two Americas.
One America is full of sheeple; the cowed, the fearful, the non-brave:
And one is filled with the free and the brave: Unfortunately, America #2 always expects America #1 to make sure that they, too, can continue to enjoy the land of the free and the home of the brave without ever having to lift a finger to make it so. All the while complaining about what America #1 has to do to make it so for America #2. Odd, to say the least.

Don’t act stupidly; round up the usual suspects.
Don’t act stupidly; round up the usual suspects.
Don’t act stupidly; round up the usual suspects.
We have no idea who the Boston Bomber is. So before anybody goes off and starts acting stupidly on their own, let me reiterate that the Saudi student who just came to America for a better life is neither a suspect or even a person of interest at this time. And according to his fellow Saudi student roommate, Mohammed Hassan Bada, “he’s sweet and kind and a good person.” Just like American Taliban fighter, John Walker Lindh.Monday, April 15, 2013

Polarizing ‘R Us
Polarizing ‘R Us
I thought there must be something wrong with my news feed: “Obama’s ratings have been consistently among the most polarized for a president in the la st 60 years.” And there was - it was actually an old feed, from way last year. Here’s the latest take on the polarization problem: it’s all Maggie’s fault.
That’s right, it turns out, Margaret Thatcher is responsible for all of today’s rancorous polarization, along with all of the assorted political “derangement syndromes.”
That’s right, it turns out, Margaret Thatcher is responsible for all of today’s rancorous polarization, along with all of the assorted political “derangement syndromes.”
To the many accomplishments for which the late Margaret Thatcher is now rightly being celebrated, let us add one that is usually less remarked but no less remarkable: she inaugurated the era of modern political polarization.http://www.michellesmirror.com/2013/04/polarizing-r-us.html

And right before Big Guy made this whole evening
“Memphis, Tennessee, was segregated in the 1960s, but blacks and whites came together despite the institutional racism to create a soulful blend of gospel and rhythmic blues music that sought to 'bridge those divides, to create a little harmony with harmony.Well, at least that explains Justin Timberlake. Nothing explained Cyndi Lauper. Later on, Big Guy revealed his personal approval of Booker T’s huge hit “Green Onions:”
They weren't allowed to go to school together. They weren't always allowed to travel or eat together,' Obama said. 'But no one could stop them from playing music together.”
"I just want everybody to know that it is now my second term, so rather than 'Hail to the Chief,' we're going with ('Green Onions') from here on out."

National People's Action (NPA) - Discover the Networks For example, it is well documented that virtually all of America's poorest cities have been led politically by Democrats for many years, even decades. In 2010, the ten poorest U.S. cities with a population of 250,000 or more were: Detroit, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Miami, St. Louis, El Paso, Milwaukee, Philadelphia, and Newark. All of these cities had poverty rates between 24% and 32%, and none had elected a Republican mayor since the 1980s. In fact, 8 of the 10 cities had been led by Democrats for more than half a century.

An Administration’s Romance With Tyranny and Terror | FrontPage Magazine
An Administration’s Romance With Tyranny and Terror | FrontPage Magazine Jamie was born into a family of Russian dissidents—to Yuri and Marina Glazov. In his powerful article, Remembering a Dissident, in which he pays tribute to his father, Jamie recalls his parents putting their clenched fists up and going toe-to-toe with the Evil Empire. His story reads like a KGB thriller, but his story is not a fictional novel. It is real and could soon become a reality in America.

Mid-fight in the Organic Garden of Good and Evil
What a week! Big Guy was in San Fran, acting all heterosexual over the hot California AG: which was great because it gave the Legacy Media something to cluck-cluck over, so as not to have to talk about the 90 million people who Big Guy has “disappeared” from the workforce since he took office. Nor will they have to note that the “official” unemployment rate of 7.6% includes another 11.7 million people also out of work.
That’s over 100 million of us not working! That’s, like, nearly one third of our population!!!

NYT Reports Economic Nightmare And Leaves Obama’s Name Out : The Last Resistance
Many people still blame Bush for the economic meltdown of 2007. I don’t blame them. Bush worked with Greenspan and then Bernanke to maintain incredibly bad monetary policy that resulted in malinvestment and fake wealth that could only vaporize when the inevitable collapse came. Furthermore, even though some Republicans saw problems ahead with the sub-prime mortgages, Bush did all he could to promote them as part of his “ownership society.”But Obama is continuing the same policies to the point of self-caricature. Furthermore, he has taken credit for the “recovery” which means he must be admitting responsibility for the unprecedented problems involved in it:

The New Campbell: Mmm Mmm Good
The New Campbell: Mmm Mmm Good
She used to work at NBC, where she got passed over for the TODAY show host. Later she went to CNN where they fired her for having bad ratings. That seems rather unfair and possibly even discriminatory, given that nobody has good ratings at CNN.
Since CNN let her go, she, like Lady M, is technically an unemployed “single mother” - which has apparently been redefined to mean a busy mom with a busy husband. Or something.

Anywoot, would you be surprised to hear that Diana, who is sponsoring Big Guy’s anti-gun violence bill, knows nothing about guns? No? I didn’t think so.
“The good news for you, you live in Denver, the DPD will be there within minutes.” (laughter, which seemed to egg her on to do even more ironic comedy) “You’d probably be dead anyway.”Not to belabor it, butt I believe that was the gentleman’s point to begin with.

“It’s extremely alarming that Rep. DeGette is running federal legislation to ban magazine clips, when she doesn’t even know what a magazine clip is,” Colorado GOP spokesman Owen Loftus told the Denver Post. “Rep. DeGette’s comments show that Democrats are more concerned with appeasing their radical base than standing up for responsible, law abiding citizens.”Why would that surprise anyone? After all, our Queen WOOT, Nancy, famously didn’t know anything about health care either.

If I Only Had A Brain: I’d know more about history, economics and guns.
If I Only Had A Brain: I’d know more about history, economics and guns.
You see, after watching the movie Lady M discovered that – as bad as she thought America was when she was growing up – it was even worse back in the 1940’s when Jackie and Rachael Robinson were young. This sort of “discovery” is a common occurrence for people, like MO, who actually believe history began the day they were born. Despite her excellent, ivy league education, it took a movie to educate her on what real racial prejudice looks like because it occurred pre-MLR (Michelle LaVaughn Robinson).
Lady M went on to say that both she and BO (another charter member of the “history began the day I was born” club) were left wondering:
"how on Earth did (the Robinsons) live through that. How did they do it? How did they endure the taunts and the bigotry for all of that time?"
It turns out the answer is they did it with grace and dignity. What a concept! And they didn’t even have ivy league educations!

dewey from detroit: Beating Thy Enemy II: the Media (conclusion; opera...: “Politics is downstream from culture. I want to change the cultural narrative.” Long before most of us begrudgingly acknowledged it, B... conservatives and liberals actually do think differently. Conservatives do tend, counter intuitively, to be left-brain dominant which means their fallback thinking process relies on logic and facts. Liberals (especially the Hollywood breed of “creative” liberals) tend to be right-brain dominant with a fallback thinking process that relies heavily on feelings (intuition) and imagination.
